Futurismo - Escursioni Asinara promotes a responsible way of exploring natural areas, aiming to preserve the environment and protect both marine and land biodiversity. Our catamaran cruises in the Marine Protected Area of the Asinara National Park focus on sustainable tourism, introducing people of all ages to scientific knowledge and respect and conservation of the environment in a fun and adventurous way. Our goal is to raise awareness among visitors to the island about practicing responsible and experiential tourism for a better future.
Futurismo – Ecoturismo Asinara Tours, was born in 2014 from an idea by Claudio Serra (Skipper and Diver), he has a strong passion for the sea, graduated in Environmental Sciences and Marine Production, presenting a thesis on educational experiences within the project “Knowledge Laboratory”, in the Marine Ecosystem of the Asinara National Park, collaborating on the Environmental Education project of the Asinara National Park.
Since 2008 it has been operating within the Marine Protected Area “Isola dell’Asinara”.
From 2013 to 2015 he collaborated with the Marine Animal Recovery Center of the Asinara National Park, carrying out recovery, management, release, collection of photographic and biometric data of sea turtles and monitoring of the Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and all cetaceans in the Asinara Marine Protected Area, also participating in the management of the hatching of a Caretta caretta at the Marina di Sorso Beach.
He participated in the monitoring of the beaches of Zone A (Integral Reserve) of the Asinara National Park to identify possible nesting sites for sea turtles.
Furthermore, in the monitoring of fishing gear present in the “Isola dell’ Asinara” MPA with related dissemination, awareness-raising aimed at fishermen on the correct recovery, on the strategic role they play in the conservation of turtles and on the possible use of low environmental impact materials.
In 2019 he acquired the title of “High Quality Whale-Watching” at the CIMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION of the Pelagos Cetacean Sanctuary and ACCOBAMS.
Exclusive Guide of the Park, passionate about the sea and life on a boat, she studied at the University of Alghero in Architecture, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Territorial, Urban and Environmental Planning in 2006, presenting a thesis on the study of Sustainable Tourism and alternative tourist settlements applied in the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park. In 2010 she obtained a master's degree in Architecture, presenting a thesis on the environmental and architectural redevelopment of Platamona (is the longest coastline in Northern Sardinia), following an environmental study and trying to insert a sustainable project into a coastline in a serious state of abandonment.
In 2010 she collaborated as a competent speaker for the Platamona area at the Conference “Sensitive Landscapes 2010” Third National Campaign, Coastal Landscapes at Risk in the “Gulf of Asinara”.
In 2013 she collaborated as an author in the publication of the book entitled: “Platamona 1951 – 2014 Birth and Decline“.
In 2014 he attended the PaeSarTour Regional Course: High-level training course aimed at the architectural, tourist and environmental enhancement of Sardinia.
In 2016 he attended the training course to obtain the title of Exclusive Guide of the Asinara National Park.
